attention les femmes de bukavu

Bonjour

Comments

Women in Bukavu have become the target of bandits. We have noticed that women returning from shopping or social activities after 6pm are often victims of robbery. Bandits, mostly on motorcycles, forcefully rip off the handbags of women on the street. For some, they pull off jewelry or other valuable items. This happened to Mme Jeanne who was robbed when returning from her store on Saturday the 2nd of February. She lost her bag containing her money (her daily earnings) and her identity cards. This is yet another symptom of the situation of insecurity which is affecting women, who are struggling to take care of their families.
