Introducing myself and my journal: Against Abuse
About Me:
I am a daughter, a sister, a wife, a mother, a civil servant, and many more.
In all the roles I play in my life, I have come across abuse of varying degrees - directed at me and/or at others. We are bought up to be docile, obedient, and to accept life's miseries accepting rewards in the hereafter. While I believe, we should be thankful for the blessings, it does not mean we should silently put up with the cruelties of others.
My Passions:
Writing and Reading. I am mostly passionate about historical or biographical material that tells a story of humankind.
My Challenges:
Breaking out of the silence
My Vision for the Future:
A world where human are treated humans, with mutual respect irrespective of gender, age, or social status.
My Areas of Expertise:
Information specialist, research speacialist

''Every woman have a story at every stage of Life''
thanks vivian
Am humbled with this nice welcome.
Yes, it is true we have a story at every stage of life.
the difficulty is in sharing the story ... not knowing how it will be received... Or more importantly knowing how it will be received with negative thoughts. that's my fear.
I don't believe average people are empathetic to gory tales others have lived through.
Many a times we find that people can only believe something when they themselves go through it.
But yes, I hope I can play at least a small role in making a change in the mindset of the society at large.

Amira
