Transparency in Nigeria (TIN)


Transparency in Nigeria (TIN) is a non-profit Non-Governmental Organization,
which has the mission of re-establishing the culture of integrity, transparency and
accountability in Nigeria. TIN is a member of Transparency International, the global
civil society movement leading the fight against corruption. TIN is currently
expanding its operations in Nigeria and has started implementing a number of
different programmes. TIN is inviting applications from qualified candidates for the
position of:
Job Title: National Programme Coordinator
Starting Date: As soon as possible
Main Function: Coordination of TIN programmes and day-to-day oversight of
TIN National Secretariat
Location: TIN National Secretariat, Abuja
Key responsibilities
- oversee the effective and timely implementation of all TIN programmes,
including financial reporting to donors and the TI Secretariat;
- coordinate a team of TIN project officers and other staff,
- identify new funding opportunities for TIN and develop project proposals for
submission to donors;
- Lead the development of a monitoring and evaluation programme for TIN;
- Develop effective advocacy and communication strategies;
- Develop quarterly action plans for approval by the Executive Committee;
- Maintain regular contact with the Secretary General and alert him to any
issues at the Secretariat requiring his attention;
- Present a written report to the Secretary General on a quarterly basis on
implementation of the action plans.
The National Programme Coordinator will be reporting to the Executive Committee
of TIN through its Secretary General.
Qualifications and Skills Required:
- Post-graduate degree from a reputable institution in any of the following areas:
law, social sciences, development studies, or humanities;
- At least five years of relevant work experience in a similar position with a
non-governmental organisation;
- Proven experience in NGO programme design, coordination of
implementation, strategic planning and institutional development;
