Stop Domestic Violence inside the Church

Domestic Violence is a very serious matter around the world.it is the number one plaque that kills family especially women and children.every 9 segunds a women is beaten by her husband or boyfriend. I am the founder of Woman in Prayer Ministries Inc.is a religious organization were I work with women who are survivors or victims.we also give counseling, but it is very sad to hear that inside the congregation/churches they are women who are in silence.I prepare my self each day because is a taboo inside the christian church to talk about this matter.but God has given me this privelege to educate women and couples. its really hard. I met a woman her husband stabbed her 8 times beacuse she decided she wanted to get seperated from him. she survived to tell her story/testimony. he only got 5 yrs in prison.few years later she tells me he remarried with another woman.she received a called that he had killed his newlywed wife and his stepdaughter who tried to defend her was in ICU critical condition.. he has been in jail ever since.what am i trying to say even leaders, pastors, deacons.beat there wifes.but the most abuse they use is emotional abuse.because it is not visible.this women are to scared to speak out, this is not right for anyone. I decided once that I will speak for all of those women and children from around the world.we are all one and we have rights.I am a survivor of domestic violence.God will lead the way.we will expand to other countrys open shelters in africa, india, honduras were ever God leads I will be theirf for them.

Thank you for sharing...

I so much appreciate you for sharing your experience. It is our church that taught us to remain silence, they told us that Abraham was the Lord of Sarah, therefore our husbands have the right to Lord over us, my pastor told us that whatever our husband command us to do, we must obey blindly, our husbands are our gods. Till today, it is what we are fed with that we do, whn we report our husbands ot our pastors, they will tell us that nobody exposes the wounds in th eprivate parts, we should endure.

If religious leaders should brave up to stop these stereotypes, ther will be drastic reduction in domestic violence. Our religion, culture and our society are killing women, Thanks sister for speaking.

Thank you for sharing your

Thank you for sharing your story with me its really shameful how the Bibles the word of God is being used to manipulate. yes it does say that the women summit to her husband ,but her husband has to summit to the lord Jesus christ.christ is the head of the church also our homes and the husband later on is the head of the house, but he must care and love his family the way God does.he must commit first to the lord.it really is sad. our only God is in heaven. there must be mutual respect.thats why women do not dare speak out, their not educated the way is soppose to be.every problem has a solution if we decide to solve it on time. I agree with you 100%. if religious leaders would brave up. this wont happen inside the congregation.God does not like abuse and believe me I can go to the word of God and take out leaders out of that error.its killing us all.but I will speak out for those who are in the same situation I was in.Hope to hear from you soon. Sister Madian ( I saw your web page beautiful work your doing for all those women) www.facebook.com/woman in prayer ministries inc. the page is in spanish but i can translate in english .
