Know Me

About Me:
Coming from a country that is passing through a transition phase, i have seen a lot that has happened in the nation in a period of 4 years, from the royal massacre to the takeover by the king to the People's Movement II to country turning a federal republic...I feel sorry for the country and the countrymen. This generation for sure has experienced a lot, and has endured a lot. This endurance of the people gives me inspiration to move on despite all odds.

I am a student of MA Economics at Tribhuvan University. At present i am working as a Research Officer at the Center of Research Excellence (CRE), a research wing at Kathmandu College of Management which i founded with a group of people interested in research. I also work as a staff writer for an e-magazine called Voices, Expressions, n Tales (V.E.N.T.) (www.ventzine.com). Previously i was associated with a regional organization working for Violence Against Women in Politics (VAWIP), and ICT for Development. I was involved with the organization's research initiatives, their quarterly newsletter, conference newsletter and Inventory Development for VAWIP.

With 2 gold medals for academic excellence, and a national award to my credit, people say that i have achieved a lot for my age but i never seem to get satisfied of where i am and what i am doing. My quest to achieve more and do more keeps me on my toes always. I need to juggle a lot of things and be busy with something or the other. I hope that when i grow old, i can look at my past and be happy with what i did in the short time that i have been given on this planet.

My Passions:
Reading is my passion and penning down my thoughts gives me a sense of satisfaction like nothing else. I want to learn about everything that is under this sun, and this is the reason i dig into every book that i come across.

My Challenges:
Dreams do not come without challenges. Everybody face them, and i am no exception. However, i have nothing to write here because challenges come in the course of doing something, and at present i can not actually come to terms with anything in particular.

My Vision for the Future:
To be successful in whatever i pursue. I dont visualize my future a lot because with time comes different opportunities and circumstances. All i want is to be happy and give 100 percent to everything i do.

My Areas of Expertise:
Since i have worked for VAWIP, i know a lot about the issue. I am good at researching, writing, and analyzing things that goes around. I also have knowledge on the youth issues.

Helloooooo

Hi Khushbu,
You have achieved alot. You are an MBA student, not so many women have been able to get there. Even for the fact you are on this community and have a vision for a better life.

Even though Accademic excellence is not a guarantee to life, it is vey necessary for a successful life. Accademic excellence shows in every aspect of your life and you can make a great impact in your society and change so many policies and other systems that do not favour women's development.
so keep soaring. you may be a president or a minister oneday. all the best as we journey on this second phase of the project.

You are right actually..

Hey Abennab...

Now when i think of what you wrote and what i wrote, i realize that you are absolutely right..i am one of the very few blessed girls who get the opportunity to do her Masters without much complications....i realize how we take what we have for granted when others could do anything to be in our position...

Thank you for once again reminding me of what i can achieve and how i can contribute towards my community with all i have...After i complete my Economics degree,i intend to get a degree in Public Policy, and as you have mentioned, i will get myself involved in changing policies and faulty system....

I really look forward to learn more from you and get more insights...

thank you

Love
Khushbu

Khushbu Hi,
It will be great to pursue Public Policy. i personally think that what is most important is what we are able to do with our credentials. what are we able to accomplished or achieved with what we have?
how many lives are able to touch and transform with our knowledge, experiences, fame, money etc. That is the challenge i throw to myself and and all females every where.

Khu, lets make things happen. Positive things. Lets change and transform lives in our own unique and small way.
regards
