Wilhelmine.

Since the attacks of the M23 in North Kivu and those of the DLFRs (Democratic Forces for the Liberation of Rwanda) in South Kivu, thousands of people flee to escape astrocities committed by these armed groups. Women and children, who should attract particular (international) attention because of their special needs, are caught in the stampede together with the men. Children are found sleeping outside, some lost without their parents (unaccompanied children), women are giving birth in the bush without medical assistance, women and girls are living without necessary sanitation or hygiene products.

We ask that humanitarian interventions pay urgent and special attention to the specific needs of women and children. Again, the women of the DRC demand SUSTAINABLE PEACE and shout outloud that we've had enough!!
