It includes girls in the age of 7 or even less than 7 to 50. And another shocking news is some of them are being harrased by their own father and brothers.

One more man arrested who belong in rape case......
113 children got help from Child line who had been physically harrased.....
Wife gave case against his husband who tried to rape his daughter.......
Attempt of rape, Teacher arrested.....

It goes on.........

Will this END......???

Wrong is just plain wrong.

Dear Shilpa,

Thank you for pointing up the ongoing problem of rape in your state. I have read some of the news recently, one woman who was raped in a woman's train jumped off, to get away from her attacker, and died. The authorities arrested a 30 year old man who was said to be a hardened criminal. But then there were other stories, like the one's you pointed out where women were raped by male members of their own family. It doesn't matter whether it's a hardened criminal, a father, a son, a teacher, a friend--rape is rape, and wrong is just plain wrong. What do you think needs to happen to deter this kind of behavior? Stricter laws? Harsher sentences? If you could plan a campaign against rape, what would the first step be?

I look forward to reading more of your posts. Please keep up the good reporting.

Deborah

Doesn't know what to do. On

Doesn't know what to do. On today's newspaper a detailed report. it says that 371 women were killed in last 11 months and 1661 rape cases were reported. These are only reported case, then just think about unreported cases. Afraid to live as a woman.

This is so scary

Dear Shilpa,
It is so scary for a woman to live in your state. But you have to encourage the women to stand up and fight for what they believe in. They have to show the government and the whole world that they are tried of being killed, raped and having their daughters defiled by their own fathers. Maybe this can help come up with stricter laws and policies. A serious campaign has to be started against rape in your state. Thank you for sharing this story with us and please keep us posted on what other stories have come up and what has been done in your state. Stay blessed and be strong we are with you all the way.
