Vibrant Life

Back in 2006, I was in Mumbai, it was a beautiful evening. But all of a sudden within a short span of seven minutes, during the rush hour, seven local trains were blown away tearing many body apart and piercing many hearts with its pain. We were all shocked and numb. I was just imagining many eyes, who had great dreams, ambitions and it all got wiped out in few seconds...Especially I was thinking of those who lost their eyes, who had to be amputed...within minuted they were disabled, their world became dark...it was such a pain to imagine their loss, with which they will live the rest of their life...and that too without any fault of theirs..but life still went on next morning amidst all those pains....It was in that state, the following lines just spontaneously came along...
I wish I had a magic wand to erase the 'war', 'terror' and 'violence' and replace it with peace and love...
The night is dark and menacing...
Cavernous and deep is the wound ...
Excruciating pain and agonized heart...
Has filled the day with unspoken void...
But life moves on and on...
The trauma is shocking and distressful...
Apathetic is the wit and empty eyes...
Bewildered look and perplexed mind...
Ill-omened air is gloomy and ominous...
But life moves on and on...
Blows the message of resplendent tomorrow...
Sings the song of ecstasy and jubilation...
Instills the hope and resilience...
Fills the poignant heart with its vibrant spirit...
And it moves on and on.
