I am fed up with war
Today I want to tell you my story, I am a person born in a refugee hospital because there was insecurity. Since when I was a child, all I hear is the noise of bullets. There are many people in the world who have never heard the noise of bullets and it is better for them because it is horrible, even the animals are afraid of it, a bird cannot come out of its nest when there are bullets. In 2004, one day my sister and I went to our maternal aunt and while returning to the house, the war had started and we were 30 minutes away from home. We were afraid because we were not at home and they were going to worry about us, the war lasted two weeks, luckily God always protects his children. During these 2weeks, our stock got finished but our God had shown us mercy and the war was over. Again when we had moved house within another province, the same story repeated itself in 2008. Every child who is born and has grown in Eastern DRC knows what war is, knows the pain that all these raped mothers go through. If only everyone could understand what their story, it’s very touching, saddening and it really moves one to cry.
These rebels are like animals and even more than, they rape women in the presence of their husbands and their children, It really hurts to experience this as a family.
We pray you to plead for us so that this nightmare can come to a stop.
Thank you

Dear Amina,
I do not know what to say, but my heart goes out for you all, who are going through the after effects of war, the children who are born and grown up with the bullet sounds, the women who are enduring the trauma of getting raped in front of their family...Your story, and the story of every victim of war especially the children and women are very touching, saddening. I wish the word war never existed in the bureaucratic dictionary...I hope and plead all the diplomats, all the statesmen to resolve the inter and intra country conflicts by some peaceful strategy instead of the horrific wars.
May God bless you.
Love
