Merci beaucoup.

ONGOING VIOLENCE
Here in the eastern Democratic Republic of Congo, particularly in the Ruzizi plain there is a 30 years old boy who raped an 80 years old woman, she was in her cassava farm.
After finishing he took a stick and drove into the genital part of the woman who gave up after some seconds. Rwandan Hutu soldiers have raped five women at Shabunda, they were heading to the farms.
All these, is because of the war and because of the foreign troops who do not want to go back to their home.
We now wonder whether those who brought them here cannot make them go back to their home.
In the whole world is in Eastern DRC that they found an environment to rape women, specifically in PANZI / Bukavu. I wonder when this is going to end because a Congolese woman is able to meet up if there is peace.
We are asking for peace, nothing but peace!
She can cultivate her field, do business by all means. We ask our community WORLD PULSE to do something so as to find the solution of this war which doesn’t want to end. We are begging you my dear friends!!
Thank you very much.

Violences en RDC

Chantal,

Dearest Chantal

Dearest Chantal,

My heart aches for the women you describe and the gross injustices and cruelty to which they are subjected.

Chantal, first, thank you for reaching out and sharing this crucial information.

Next: What would solution would you suggest as a first step toward improving the intolerable treatment of women in the DRC?

If you can give this some thought, too, and then share it, you will have taken yet another step toward supporting a better life for your sisters in the DRC. Everything good begins with one voice, and that one voice can be yours. You have already begun, by telling the story in this on-line community.

I send you strength and courage, and I applaud you for stepping up and speaking out.

With Respect,

- Sarah
