Introducing myself and my journal: Women's Voices

About Me:
I am an African feminist activist working with women in post conflict settings. For the past three years I have worked with women survivors of sexual violence. I have a strong conviction that the definition of peace for women is different. Women will never have peace until their torn bodies are healed and protected from violence, women cannot have peace until their views are respected and taken into account in decision making at all levels, women cannot have peace until there is equality between women and men.

My Passions:
promoting women's right

My Challenges:
Culture and traditions that disrespect women

My Vision for the Future:
A more equal world, where all human beings are respected

My Areas of Expertise:
Gender; research and training
