About Me:
I work with Just Cause Investors (www.justcauseinvestors.com) an Impact Investment Organization that works with social enterprises of a not for profit and for profit nature, globally. We are interested in assisting organizations who are doing `social good...and linking them in with investors who will support them.

This is a passion for me as I enormously admire the work that these social enterprises are doing, and many depend on their success globally through the efforts of their women entrepreneurs.

As well, I am a photographer and writer.

My Passions:
social justice, bringing balance back into the world in female and male relations

My Challenges:
not having enough time to do everything I want!

My Vision for the Future:
a kind, humane world where we celebrate our differences and work collectively for solutions

My Areas of Expertise:
business development, writing, photography and getting along with a whole wide range of people!

Sorry for the delay in responding to your comment above. I just joined the "Funding the Global Women's Movement" as you suggested...doesn't look like there's been a lot of activity there since 2011 so hopefully I can assist to revive this somewhat! Funding for women entrepreneurs and non profits is critical and that's the piece we provide.

For instance, it would be great to assist these organizations financially in India in the wake of the recent murder, so that they can continue their good work of empowering women and girls.

I will connect in with the Canadian group as well.

As to how I came to Just Cause Investors, I have a combination of a background in business development in the corporate world (hotels mostly) along with a strong passion for the non profit world, and made a definitive switch back to the latter in 2009 with an organization that works with non profits in the US. We counselled them to achieve their fund raising objectives. A small section of the team from this organization wanted to take our involvement a step further and so left "in toto" to start up JCI last years. We are currently working globally with social enterprises and non profits and it is tremendously rewarding.

Again, sorry for my delayed response and I look forward to becoming more engaged!

We're assessing all our groups and thinking of ways to increase activities/membership for all our groups so keep an eye out. Sounds like what you're doing right now is very rewarding. I love what Just Cause is doing - not only financially supporting movements and organizations, but (as you've mentioned about the story in India) empowering women during difficult times.
