Hi Kmoeti,

Hello and welcome to our global community! It looks like you have a lot of experience in a various areas. Are you part of a human rights organization?

If you have not already, there are plenty of women here from South Africa in particular that you might be interested in connecting with, and they're listed here: http://worldpulse.com/user/directory?country=36

If you would like some additional tips on making the most of what our site has to offer I encourage you to look through our Getting Started Guide, available here: http://worldpulse.com/pulsewire/about/guide

Also, I would like to encourage you to watch a newly released short video which features bold and amazing World Pulse women speak out. I hope you like it - available here: https://worldpulse.com/about/blog/announcing-the-release-of-a-new-world-...

Thanks again for joining with us, Kmoeti.

Hello!

Hello Kmoeti,
Welcome to our community! I'm excited to see all of your interests. I know you'll be in good company here in our network of thousands of women activists.

One opportunity that I have recently shared is about the G(irls) 20 summit to be held in June of 2013. Have a look: http://worldpulse.com/pulsewire/exchange/post/61817 This is an opportunity for young women 18-20 years old to connect and share their visions and solutions. If you're not in that age range, maybe you have friends who are! I encourage you to share the opportunity.

Thanks so much for joining us. I look forward to connecting with you in the near future.

Kind regards,

Scott Beck

Hello right back at you :)

Thanks for the warm welcome. Looking forward to being an active part of this community and info on the summit has been shared. Thank you again!

Hi Kmoeti- We are so glad you've found us, and excited to see you are diving in with the VOF program this year! I, too, am a child development specialist, so your introduction caught my eye. Although women's issues are certainly a passion of mine, compassion, justice, and respect for children with challenges has been my life's pleasure and work these past number of years. I know you will both find inspiration an inspire others in this community. I look forward to sharing our similar passions as we meet here on World Pulse.

I have found the quickest way to enter into this community is to click on the "Voices Rising" link, which is under the "PulseWire" tab near the top of the screen. From there you can easily access and read journal entries, and perhaps make a comment in reply. In order to add people to your community, click on the person's name. You will be taken to their profile, and can click on the 'add to my community' link under their photo. But I'm sure you've already figured that out. The links given in the above posts are also quite helpful.

Please do not hesitate to contact us if you need assistance, or just want to chat. All the best to you, Kmoeti!

Peace and Hope-
Michelle
