Introducing myself and my journal: Up Close

About Me:
Vinita A Shetty is an independent journalist and freelance documentary producer. She holds a degree from Christ University in Journalism, English and Pshychology and is an alumnus of the European Journalism Institute (Charles University Prague and The Fund for American Studies). Vinita is an Asia Society, Asia 21 Fellow, Class of 2011. She has over 12 years experience with leading English dailies including DNA, Bangalore Mirror and The Times of India as Associate Editor, Senior Editor and City Editor. She featured as a columnist in DNA’s Life and Living pages, authoring Bangalore Graffiti - a kaleidoscope of people, events, places and spaces. She has been the India producer of documentaries on economic success stories, mobilites, religious studies, travel and the environment for various channels including the BBC, Channel 4 UK, ITV and the Open University UK.
