Introducing myself and my journal: Expanding Heart

About Me:
I am a 68 year old Caucasian American, but that is just the surface reality.
Like you, I am eager to find forums that unite women, create dialogue, and
elevate consciousness.

This is a world that needs the voices and courage and ideas of all women.
I am privileged to have most of my needs met. I am educated, healthy, single
and my values are based in the timeless truths from India. I am a long time
meditator and aspiring yogi. I am not wealthy. I serve behind a counter in
a metaphysical bookshop in a beautiful, progressive city. I feel deeply grateful
for what I have, who I am, and how I am able to grow and serve my fellow beings.
Yet I cannot forget the suffering and oppression of my sisters worldwide. It feels
good to be able to put my hands in this huge virtual circle of women, even if all
I have to offer is my voice, my prayers and my support. I love you all.

My Passions:
freedom, inside and out, for all

My Challenges:
in this culture, my age and lack of expertise with social media

My Vision for the Future:
a world where women's voices, work and contributions are welcomed, honored and we are empowered to serve equally and earn equally with men.

My Areas of Expertise:
listening, praying, caring, believing we can do what needs to be done

Wecome to the community!

Hi Terra,

Welcome to the community. I'm from Portland too! Which bookstore do you work at? I can pretty much live in any bookstore in Portland.

How did you hear about World Pulse? Do you have a special interest on a particular social issue or a country/region?

If you have not already, there are plenty of women here from the US in particular that you might be interested in connecting with, and they're listed here: http://worldpulse.com/user/directory?country=15

If you would like some additional tips on making the most of what our site has to offer I encourage you to look through our Getting Started Guide, available here: http://worldpulse.com/pulsewire/about/guide

Also, I would like to encourage you to watch a newly released short video which features bold and amazing World Pulse women speak out. I hope you like it - available here: https://worldpulse.com/about/blog/announcing-the-release-of-a-new-world-...

Thanks again for joining with us, Terra.

Kind regards,

Jennifer
