Introducing myself and my journal: Nomadic Coconuts

About Me:
Greetings, Aloha, Hola,
My name is Kelly, I have 4 children. We have lived an unorthodox lifestyle to be sure. From Maui to Colorado, Washington & New Mexico and back and forth to San Blas Mexico where we presently reside~ We've lived in tents, jungle hammocks, small concrete block houses and mostly in rural locations. I have always wanted to take my children around the world for a broader perspective on Humanity as Diversity is my 'theme' this life. My 2 older kids won't be coming with us on this next adventure although the younger 2 boys will be~ So this next round will take us to Uganda so I can further and complete my midwifery education. I have been passionate about maternal health and natural birth since I was a child. So now it seems with this midwifery path opening beautifully in front of us that I will be able to join my 'joys' together in building birth centers around the world for women who presently have no access to adequate care in their region. It's all coming together beautifully~ I have till the 30th of September to get my placement fee in for this program and then I feel the rest of the funds will flow in as I just barely got accepted to the program in time to even launch my fundraising campaign! ~ Ho the Magic of Miracles happening! http://www.indiegogo.com/birthcenters4life?a=1085418

My Passions:
Midwifery, My Children, Surfing, Gardening, being in Nature, Helping others freely, Survival, being resourceful and efficient

My Challenges:
Dealing with people who don't understand the damage they're doing to our world and it's inhabitants

My Vision for the Future:
One World, One People United for the Good of ALL

My Areas of Expertise:

Hello and welcome!

Hello and welcome Kelly! It's nice to have you in the community here.

It sounds like you've had quite the journey, and are looking forward to continued adventures. I hope that World Pulse will be a rewarding and expansive part of your future. There are plenty of women here from Uganda in particular that you might be interested in connecting with, and they're listed here: http://worldpulse.com/user/directory?country=131

If you would like some additional tips on making the most of what our site has to offer I encourage you to look through our Getting Started Guide, available here: http://worldpulse.com/pulsewire/about/guide

I wish you the best of luck in your fundraising work for the Midwifery school, and I encourage you to make a post in our Resource Exchange so that people know that you have a need! You can click here to do that: http://worldpulse.com/pulsewire/exchange/submit

Thanks again for joining with us, and I look forward to connecting with you in the future.
Warm wishes,

Scott Beck
