Woman and the Lack of Water
Bukavu is a city in the Democratic Republic of Congo which is located to the east part of the country.
Finding water in this city is very difficult. Women wake up during the night to get or find water. They can walk for miles to go either to the lake or the river to fetch water and that puts women at close distance to serious risks of violence.
I recall one day I sent my 17 year old girl fetching water 5km-away and to take the short path she met three men who asked her to follow because they were also seeking water. But then they started to rape the girl who cried for rescues since the houses are very close to the city.
That is what has happen to the girl.
After falling unconscious until the morning she was found by passers who took her to the hospital. After some medical exams they confirmed she was pregnant.
All her dreams faded away.

Not excusable!

I wish I was a lion who was there to defend the girl. But if came too late, I would still run after those brute and cut off their penises with a single bite each!

Pardon me for this outburst. I am just angry. Why would those men harm a helpless girl and leave her almost dead? Because their libido was oozing and they had to let it out? That is not an excuse! What they did was a crime and they must be punished!

But if they could get away with it, one day God will deal them. They could run but they could not hide for God is omniscient, omnipresent and omnipotent.

Still, they have a chance to reform. Saint Paul who wrote almost 50% of the New Testament of the Bible was a murderer. He killed millions of Christians and Jews being a captain in the Roman army. But when Jesus took away his eyesight for four days and rebuked him, Paul immediately changed and became Christ's most dedicated disciple and missionary..

The lesson is that even the vilest criminal could transform. The important thing is for them to admit their sins and commit to total reformation.

Just isn't right

I'm sorry to hear of this happening to your daughter, it made my heartache knowing that you can't even go and get water and be safe. This just isn't right. Keep having faith and hope that things will get better in time.
