VIOLENCE against old men IN DRC
Stages of human life can be compared to the 4 seasons; summer, winter, spring and autumn.
Each season has its particular characteristics that no phenomenon that change its physical effects.
Life has its stages which nature can neither modify nor change.
This concerns childhood, adolescence, adulthood and old age.
The first three steps are productive; man is in full operation, he provides his needs thanks to the fruits of his physical and intellectual efforts.
The last step is passive and drags the aged into misery and poverty. He no longer knows how to satisfy his needs.
This story was written for World Pulse’s Ending Violence Against Women Digital Action Campaign.
World Pulse believes that women's stories, recommendations, and collective rising leadership can—and will—bring an end to gender-based violence. The EVAW Campaign elicits powerful content from women on the ground, strengthens their confidence as vocal grassroots leaders, and ensures that influencers and powerful institutions hear their stories.
