Insecurity in Eastern DRC
Life in our South Kivu province.
Today the population of the Uvira city woke up in the noise of bullets, the Mayi Mayi and the regular soldiers fought from 4am until 12 noon; nobody went to work, nor to school {for the students} nor go to market.
There is a woman who has received a stray bullet and died. We continue to suffer abuses from foreign troops in our country. Let insecurity stop in DR Congo
I love you very much!

Maintain sanity in difficult times
Namavu,
You are very brave to tell us what is happening around you. I know you are scared and I would be as well. It is at these times you count on one another and try to stay sane and safe. Gather together with others to help minimize the fear of the children. Staying busy helping others is the key when there is no power in that moment to change what happens beyond your home.
I share your desire for peace and security in your community and in the world. I know that your words will reach many of us and make sure you are not forgotten.
Know that I am with you and that many of us care about you.

Praying for peace
Dear Namavu,
My hopes are with all of you that you can make it away from this violence and fear. It is hard to imagine how scary this must be, but I think of my sisters in DRC very often. I pray for peace for you and for all of us. Please keep telling your story, and we will keep telling your story to the rest of the world so that you may live in peace and love.

Insecurite dans l'Est de la RDC
Namavu,
