SOLUTION

Women rights are defiled by selfish men who want to own all family property. After much research, analysts came to the conclusion that Congo is made up of 52% Women and 40 % Men. Many men let down their obligations for women to take care of raise their children alone, eventhough education is a partnership activity.

SOLUTION

- Husbands should treat their wives as partners and not objects

-The court registry and churches should sensitize citizens on their obligations to each other as married people

-Women should insist on civilian and religious weddings to defend their rights in the marital home

Partnership

Dear Prudence, I can feel your frustration. Thank you for sharing with the WorldPulse community. I agree with your ideas of partnership between men and women and like your suggestion of involving the court registry and church as part of sensitizing citizens to their rights! It is not just individuals that need to stand together - for change to come, it will also take the support of community groups and institutions. Keep going, I am thinking of you.

Hi Prudence,
Good day. Thank you for sharing your story. I am very sorry to hear what you are going through but commend your solutions. Since majority are women, will you be able to form a woman's group to stand up for your rights and fight for equality? Women are the majority and this will work but everyone has to cooperate and fight for their rights, and equality which you are all born with.

Thanks,
Bina

Kind Regards,
Bina Patel
