Violences continuelles

Bonjour les amies de WORLD PULSE.
Ici chez nous la violence des droits humains se fait d'une manière ou d'une autre;
Maintenant elle se demande où aller avec six enfants, quoi faire , et sur quel pied danser;
Merci.

Good morning World Pulse friends

Here, violence to human rights is done in one way or the other. I witnessed an event which took place in our quarter. A household in which the father lied to his wife that he would sell their house and their land to go and do business elsewhere. Unfortunately, after selling their land as well as the house, he took a poorly constructed one on rent for his wife.

Without shame or fear, he took a mistress afterwards and with the latter, they are lavishing the money. They eat well and are living in a beautiful house meanwhile the first wife is left suffering with six children. She only learnt later on that her husband is married elsewhere.

She’s now asking herself what to do and where to go to with six children. World Pulse friends it’s up to you to give out advices and intervene if possible, please.
Thanks

Femme, garde espoir!!!!

Ghandi once said it will all get well at the end, and if it doesn't get well, then it is not yet the end.

So sad

Dear Yvonne,
It is so sad that women are treated like this every where. Thank you for bringing out these violations against women in your country.I need to know if you a legal aid system in your country which can fight for the rights of such women. This woman needs to have her husband provide the basic necessities for the children and for her maintenance. What is done in the case of Uganda we file a maintenance application with the magistrates courts and the father is ordered to provide for his children both school fees and daily food and maintenance. I need to know how the system works in your country.Please provide more information so that i see how best this woman can be helped. Stay blessed my sister and continue with the struggle.

At a loss for advice

Dear Yvonne, Thank you for posting the story of this incident. It makes me sad and angry to learn of such treatment, but I am afraid it is a story that is retold too often. You are doing a service by making people aware of such treatment, and for that, I thank you. As far as advice, I echo Anita's comments above (So sad) that knowledge of what (if any) recourse a legal system might offer is important. Secondly, if there are any NGOs in the immediate vicinity who are working on issues of women's rights, they might provide some guidance as well. I am sad to have to acknowledge that scoundrels and cons are all too prevalent in all societies! I hope this woman will find some way forward through individuals and organizations who will recognize the injustice and help her fight.
All the best,
Susa

Dear Yvonne, This is such a

Dear Yvonne,

This is such a terrible story you;re telling! I feel the pain of the women with 6 children and I have little advice to give. Sometimes some people/neighbours are willing to help for a short time people in such dire need but the long term solution I think lies in court.
