thank you
Beig Imtiaz, thank you for sharing this.
I also read this editorial in India Together—http://www.indiatogether.org/opinions/edits/whykashmir.htm
that speaks to their reasons for covering the Kashmir conflict and for bringing to light the human rights abuses that are taking place.
This is such a complicated and complex conflict, with so many radically different views on what the true solution is. I find India Together's willingness to cover the news of the region a refreshing break from what has largely remained hidden.
I am very happy to see you taking part in this group discussion. I do hope you will share your personal story and personal views on what is currently taking place in Kashmir. Specifically, what is your hope for Kashmir as a region? For her people? What are the solutions inside Kashmir that you are seeing? Are their grassroots efforts rising up? What can we as an international community do to support the people of Kashmir?
Looking forward to opening this dialogue. I hope you will invite others to the group to share their stories as well. There has been so much misinformation (or no information!) in the media surrounding Kashmir, it is only by sharing experiences that true understanding can begin.
All the best to you and yours,
Corine
