PARITE

The equality observatory of South-Kivu held a debate- conference this Tuesday October 02 on a decision making post occupied by a congolese woman and especially the South –Kivusian woman. A weak representation of women is felt in every domain. This non representation is acoounted by several reasons put forward by men to cover up their bad wills. Men think that women are made only for household work, that they are not up to tasks of high responsibility ; or once given power, they neglect all those inferior to them. Women who took part in this workshop were all very happy and prayed the observatory to multiply such meetings in order to valorise the congolese woman in general and the woman of south-kivu inparticular

Femme, garde espoir!!!!

Ghandi once said it will all get well at the end, and if it doesn't get well, then it is not yet the end.

Revolution has begun!

Sure, women should be be given equal platform to access their rights. Change is happening so the mentality of male members should definitely change, dear! If we are all united, we surely can bring that change and day very soon..

A Seat at the Table

I agree with you. Brave women all around the world are taking a seat at the decision-,making table. They are amplifying the voices of their sisters, mothers and daughters. They are also representing their brothers, fathers and sons. They are demanding to be heard. They are creating change. Sometimes there aren't enough seats for these brave women, so they are creating new platforms and spaces in which to be heard. I applaud their efforts and bravery.
