Dear friend,
Hello. I would just like to update you on the situation I experienced. I saw a 17-year-old girl in the third level in school, and a boy tricked her into thinking that he was going to support her since her family was unable to do so. Then after the boy impregnated her, he took off to some unknown destination. When she gave birth, she brought two children into the world and then died. Now we ask how these children are going to be raised since her family is so poor.

We ask advice from the World Pulse community.
Thank you friends.

Sibatu, This a very tragic

Sibatu,

This a very tragic story and unfortunately this type of thing happens to women all over the world. We must continue to work towards the eradication of this type of treatment towards women. Thank you for sharing her story and know that we are in solidarity with you. Do you know if there are any organizations or non-profits near where her family lives that can help?

Hello Sibatu

Sibatu,
The story you have listed is very unfortunate. I am not familiar with the resources for help in your local area. I do think that by you sending out this story to the world it will help give visibilty to the tragic issues that occur in your area. I am sorry about the loss of the woman in the story and I hope that the two kids are helped and supported to become strong future leaders. If you can help these kids and/or connect them to someone that can it will the initial change that will help change the unfortunate sitauations in your area. No selfless deed will go unnoticed. Any help you provide will help. I wish you the best of luck on your next steps.

Sincerely,
Justin Cambra

Community

Sibatu,

I echo what the other members of the community have said about the sadness of this situation, yet it is not uncommon and this happens all over the world. I hope that the community can somehow come together to support these two children. I recognize that the family is poor but is there someway that the community to help to raise these children together? Maybe I am idealistic.

I hope that we as a society take time to educate both our daughters and sons about self-esteem and compassion. Teach them to value each other and not to take advantage of them.

Well Wishes,
Charlene
