Women of the DRC in general and those from South Kivu especially, let us work together to save our beautiful country and our dear province of South Kivu especially. Who can save us if we cannot do it ourselves? Who can put an end to the impunity if we don’t denounce evil? Don’t be afraid of those who seek to put an end to your existence. (Women are the cradle of life). Without her nothing can be work. Let us not allow only men to act, but instead let us help them for they cannot do anything alone. It is said that women or men cannot bring forth life without the effort of both parties. And those who want to hurt our mothers, sisters and others are trying for naught and are wasting their time because they are digging a tomb for themselves. I’m what I am today because of women. I end my entry with this: “ Only the weak men rape and the strong men cannot act in such a manner”. I am a young man who is shouldering the women in the fight against impunity. Your comments are welcome.

well spoken and welldone

hello appel, thanks to God and you that we have men like you without which i can not begin to imagine how worse it possibly could get.
women in south kivu are so lucky to have you and wish there were more thousands as you!

as you have said and i do believe women and men need each other and for one to oppress the other is plain stupid and yes the rapist, wife and children beaters are very WEAK and SELFISH species...i can not help but wish some times that cld simply disappear from planet earth.

appel i came a cross some stories where women are violated every day of their lives, ..how big is kivu coz some stories came from there....also regions far away from the central government need help in promoting rights of women....
how far and how much interventions have you done in your organisation for the women and is there any positive response from the government?
do you also have say income generating activities because economic empowerment is important for women to avoid helplessness.

i hope to hear from you again

Inspiring voice

You have the voice of someone who can inspire and motivate others to act. I applaud your sensitivity and your appeal to women and men to work together. You are so right that men who rape are weak. We need the voices of men like you who respect women and will show other men that this is a sign of strength.
