Disaster and emergency

Due to the insecurity sustained by the militias of the M23, many cases of massive displacement have been observed in the province of North Kivu. The women and children are scattered. The only displacement camp in Kanyaruchinya houses within it more than 50,000 people, confronted with diverse environmental problems linked to promiscuity. These displaced persons lack food to eat, clothes and shelter. They sleep under the stars. Many of them are confronted with the problem of epidemics such as malaria, cholera, diarrhoeal diseases (especially for the children), epidemics of measles and respiratory infections.

These same population movements are also observed in certain territories of the province of South Kivu; notably, in Kalehe where the local communities have left the villages of Ziralo, Mubuku, Cinene (etc.) to flee to the center of Kalehe: Bushushu, Nyavivwe and Minova. Among these women, some have been victims of rape before and during their displacement. Many live with host families, who have also been burdened by the misery.
The same tragic situation is being reported in the territories of Fizi, where in the month of June, one hundred women were raped by the Rwandan militia (FDLR) and in the territory of Shabunda where insecurity is caused by these negative forces. The FDLR is always fighting the record.

We are witnessing passively many tragedies to which the women of the Congo submit. Nevertheless, they live in a nightmare that needs to end. Certainly, Peace constitutes the only and the best solution to this problem, but in the meantime, these displaced people live in an unprecedented nightmare. They need to be helped by people of goodwill.

Bienvenue Madeleine!

Bienvenue et welcome à World Pulse Madeleine.
