I was happy to receive your message and I hope that we stay in contact. The recurring problem with women in East of RDC is that the women would love to set up small businesses within the village but cannot because of the insecurity. this insecurity makes them afraid to. Last week, my elder sister went to do some business and was attacked by unidentifiable insurgents who seized herr goods and abused her. The abuse dishonours these women and they become dishonored even before their husbands. We are suffering a lot please think of us and thank you

Thinking of you
Thank you so much for sharing. That is terrible that women in your area are not able to pursue their business interestes due to fear and attacks that you have described. Women shouldn't have to fear attack in any situation. Are there any programs in the area to assist with this? What type of supports are in your area? I would love to hear back.
Thank you,
Sally Smith
Be strong
dear Juslene,
We surely have you in our prayers. Thank you being strong and being the voice of the voiceless. We need to hear more of these stories so that we can help voice out the injustices in your country and maybe with the pressure from the international community there will eventually be some change in your country. However it takes time you just have to be patient but continue with the good work of identifying these violations against women and children. We are with you in spirit. Be strong my sister
