Continuous Violence in the East Democratic Republic of Congo
Hello!
Here in the East Democratic Republic of Congo, specifically in Bukavu, there is a man who raped is little 7-year-old daughter. He woke up in his room, left his wife sleeping and guided himself to the children’s room cutting pieces of cloth which he put in his daughter’s mouth in case she cried and started to rape her until she bled all over him and the bed. When his daughter fainted he hurried to his room, his wife asked him about all the blood. He responded that he had been trying to separate their quarrelling neighbors. But is wife, suspecting otherwise, went to the children’s room to verify and found her little daughter covered in blood and screamed very loudly. He was imprisoned.
Thank you very much my friends.

Thank you for sharing this
Thank you for sharing this story. My heart goes out to the little girl. I hope that man sits in prison everyday and realizes that his actions are sinful. He has messed up his daugther's life! The mother is strong and I commend her for taking action against the husband. More and more women need to stand up against men in order to protect kids.

Thank you
Thank you for bringing awareness to this story, which sadly, is not a rare one. It is so saddening that people can have the capacity for such cruelty, but I admire the mother for going to the police. We can only hope that somehow the mother and daughter will be able to heal from this experience and find strength in their community and in sympathetic women like yourself who will help them move on. My thoughts are with them.
Sincerely,
Nicole
Essential piece
Dear Kabene,
Merci beaucoup pour cet histoire. Reporting and punishing sexual assaulters and rapists is crucial to reduce such abhorrent acts.
Best,
Pushpa
Thank you for sharing her
Thank you for sharing her story, so deeply heartbreaking. It's important that women and children feel empowered to report such horrific crimes. That they will be heard and the perpetrators punished. I pray for the healing of this child and her mother.
