Maintenant ou on vous parle, cette dernière se trouve toujours à l'hopitale Générale de bukavu.
Vous comprenez qu'ici à l'est du congo la violence de droits humains est toujours continuelle si vous pouvez intervenir.

Here where we live the violence continues. I saw a mother--when her husband was away there were armed robbers who came during the night and raped the forced woman. When she complained, the robbers said that they were going to kill her and her children. When the children cried, the robbers cut a whole through the belly of the mother with a knife.
Now while we are speaking, she is still at the General Hospital of Bukavu.
We understand that here in the Eastern Congo human rights violences are always continuous... if you can, intervene.
Thank you friends and happy reading.

horrifying

Sibatu,

Your story is horrifying and painful to read. But you strength and courage in telling it is equally astonishing. It is through telling these things, and drawing attention to who is doing this and where, that we can bring the world's attention to this. These are not just numbers of people tormented, these are individual lives and they matter. You matter.

Thank you for having the bravery to speak the truth. The world is listening to your voice. And we are all looking for a way to stop the horrors of which you speak.

Do not lose heart. Stay strong and tell you story to anyone who will listen. We are here and we care.

We are praying for Congo

Dear Sibatu,

the stories coming out of Congo are horrifying. Women are the ones who seem to be suffering the most. We will continue to speak out as we pray for sanity and peace to return to Congo. Stay strong.
