Violences

South Kivu is a province with all qualms. We’re tired with seeing our mothers, sisters and grand mothers raped before our faces. We’re fed up with seeing our family members buried alive , and tired of seeing fifteen or twenty people buried in the same tomb. Who is it that can take this? Our tears have turned into beer. With our brothers from mwenga, shabunda, bunyakiri , We are endlessly lamenting the death of our brothers dieing in the East of Congo. My ters are still flowing. May all our predators have mercy on us because they could be killing theirs unknowingly or maybe they’ve got no heart or pity.

hello
We weep with you
Dear Byamungu,
It is such a sad situation in Congo right now. I hold you and your kin in my heart every day, and I support whatever actions are necessary to help save the dignity and lives of those who suffer so horribly. Please keep telling your stories. It is very important for the world to hear them and to know who you are. Thank you for sharing your words. You are making it possible for solutions to come forth!

Dear Byamungu, You are living
Dear Byamungu,
You are living through a dark time in the history of our humanity and inhumanity but it is through your bravery and strength, that you tell this story over and over and make us hear it, that the solution will be seen. There is not way the world can ignore what you shine a light on.
The heroes in this world are those brave enough to speak the truth and remind us what is right and what is wrong. You are one of our heroes and through your words, we hear the terror and sadness that visits your people.
Keep telling the story. In the telling, you are honoring the dead and broken, who have no strength and no voice.
You are valuable in this process of change. Never doubt it. You are important to this struggle.
I embrace you.
