Hello friends, I would like to keep you updated on the situation that is happening in our village concerning violence. The women have become widows, others are orphans and the others have abandoned their homes to hide in the center [of the country?] All of this following the men of ill will called Rwandan Hutus [Interahamwe] who are located throughout the forest in order to mistreat people. Recently when they were in the neighbourhood they killed men, they raped women and young girls, and they pillaged everything they could, this is why we don't know when this will end. It wasn't long ago that they were in Bunyakiri where they killed people and they burned houses so that those who were left became refugees in the city of Bukavu, thank you friends.

Courage

Hello Yvonne,
Thank you so much for the update on what is happening in your village- it is nicely written. I am sorry to hear that so many people are suffering. I can only imagine what it must be like to live in fear of these awful men. I believe that voices such as yours will help yo expose these horrible atrocities and that some day you can live in the peace you deserve.

Yvonne, Pouvez-vous nous dire

Yvonne,
