Merci beaucoup mes amies de notre communauté WORLD PULSE.

Women in Congo in general and in the South Kivu province in particular, suffer from an appalling situation because of the different social, administrative and economic problems we are facing.

First of all, the Congolese woman's rights are not respected at different levels in our society. Within families, even though she is the head of the family, she is not respected by other members. She can only find support in organizations where her rights are defended. Her duties make her suffer without bringing her any profit or respect for her dignity. I will give more details in my next message.

Many thanks to all my friends in our World Pulse community.

This story was written for World Pulse’s Ending Violence Against Women Digital Action Campaign.

World Pulse believes that women's stories, recommendations, and collective rising leadership can—and will—bring an end to gender-based violence. The EVAW Campaign elicits powerful content from women on the ground, strengthens their confidence as vocal grassroots leaders, and ensures that influencers and powerful institutions hear their stories.
