Merci beaucoup mes amies.

Our politicians need to ensure laws that protect women and remember that problems that concern the husband concern the husband alone. It is illegal to make the wives in these situations the family martyrs. Because of corruption in our country, there is no justice. Anyone with money can get their way and will always be right in the eyes of the law.
There are numerous cases here where the wife and children were thrown out with their belongings while the husband was gone because the husband was the primary person responsible for paying rent.
Southern province of Kivu, DR Congo. Thank you my friends.

Bon courage!

You bring up an interesting point

It is a horrible situation that I am sure hurts everyone in the community. You have caused me to think about what families can do to ensure that a husband and father does not come back to find his family has been displaced this way.

Thank you for taking the time to speak up about this issue.

A powerful example

Thank you for sharing this and giving us a glimpse at the corruption in your country and how it directly affects the lives of women and their children. The story of women being thrown out of their homes is a powerful example. It's courageous to speak out against corruption, but that's how change occurs. Thank you for being a voice of courage.
