Introducing myself and my journal: Soul Sisters

About Me:
Welcome to my page! My name is Sai Kiran, a young professional, passionate about global issues affecting women. I am a recent MBA graduate with years of professional experience working in the Canadian healthcare system. As someone who has been fortunate to grow up in a country like Canada, it's easy to take for granted the luxuries I'm afforded as a woman here. I hope to take advantage of this good fortune, in a way that can serve women who are working so hard to make a difference in their own lives and the lives of others. I am here to learn from the members of World Pulse, empathize with the stories we share with each other, and to work together to find solutions. I look forward to making long lasting connections that transcend borders and create change!

My Passions:
Interior design, music, fitness, global health and social policy, reading, positivity and personal development, spirituality

My Challenges:

My Vision for the Future:
A global movement of strong professional women collaborating on an international platform to utilize innovation, creativity, and influence to cure injustice against women

New York, New York!

WorldPulse family, on September 20th I embark on a trip to New York to attend my first WorldPulse event! I'm wildly excited about this as it is the first official step I am taking that truly helps me act on my passion to end violence against women. On Friday, Sept 21st, I am going to be listening to the voices of three women from around the world sharing their personal stories, and how digital technologies can help to create a global conversation. I'd love to hear from those who are also attending this conference. I think making connections and finding ways to work and collaborate together to widen our reach is imperative to create change. Connect with me, and hopefully we can build on our shared interests starting in NYC!

I can't wait to be there, to learn, and to connect.

Blogging

Recently I started my own blog called Social Good 2.0 (www.socialgood2pt0.ca). I owe a lot of my motivation to do this to World Pulse. While it has been something I've wanted to do for a long time, after attending the World Pulse event in New York, I finally took the plunge. I'm so happy I did! My first blog post speaks a lot about my experience joining WP, the inspiration I felt meeting Neema, Stella, and Hummingbird, and the lessons I learned. I hope you all are able to read my posts and share in my experience. This is my way of spreading the positivity I experienced through WP!
