Introducing myself and my journal

About Me:
Although I have lived most of my life in the same place, I am always on the move - meeting, learning, creating, starting, finishing, growing, helping and especially traveling.
I work at a desk job in marketing and come home every day to my little silver cat named Orion.
I run a website that's aimed at empowering women to travel the world (www.girlswhotravel.org) and I host a podcast that interviews everyday people doing interesting things in my city (www.yourchicagopodcast.com)
I keep my passport ready should the opportunity arise but believe that travel can take place just a block from your home.
Until recently, I subsisted on turkey sandwiches and mac & cheese but have turned over a new leaf and am learning how to not just cook, but cook healthy. It's pretty awesome.
I just finished my first novel.
I live and breathe yoga.

My Passions:
travel, yoga, social justice, women's empowerment

My Challenges:
So much to do, so little time. If I don't prioritize and accept my limitations, I get overwhelmed and burnt out very quickly!

My Vision for the Future:
lokah samastah sukhino bhavantu - may all beings everywhere be happy and free. Think we can do it?

My Areas of Expertise:
Marketing, social media, writing

Thanks Mukut!
My novel is a romantic comedy about a two people who don't like each other being tricked by their friends into thinking the other person loves them! I had a lot of fun writing it, but it took me almost 10 years! (I kept stopping and starting).
If you ever want to read it, I'm always looking for some readers to give me their thoughts!

Keep up your great writing - you're such an inspiration to me!

Love,
Arden
