VIOLENCE AGAINST WOMEN
The war in the DRC has become daily food and women have become victims.
Whenever there is war in one province or the other, there are still women who suffer.
Recently the woman's body became a battlefield well mapped out for war. The woman is cut into pieces, disassembled like radio screws. Firstly, they destroy the female reproductive organs and later on kill her.
She gives birth before due time because of the torture she receives from different men, thereafter a gun is introduced into her genital organ, and then she is killed.
If the woman was considered like the others, she would not have suffered these kinds of abuse for it is said:
"To educate a woman is to educate the whole nation"

This story was written for World Pulse’s Ending Violence Against Women Digital Action Campaign.

World Pulse believes that women's stories, recommendations, and collective rising leadership can—and will—bring an end to gender-based violence. The EVAW Campaign elicits powerful content from women on the ground, strengthens their confidence as vocal grassroots leaders, and ensures that influencers and powerful institutions hear their stories.

Cette Violence

Anuarite,

Hello Anuarite

Thank you for sharing your testimony with us. It is so horrifying to think of those things happening to so many women. Keep sharing your knowledge with us and the rest of the world. I hope that campaigns like this one can help bring an end to such senseless violence.

My prayers are with you sister,
Victoria

Merci beaucoup

Hi Anuarite

What you are telling us is so horrible that I cannot even imagine living there and not doing anything about it. As women, we must stand proud of being women. This means that we shall not let them belittle us. They do this not only because they can, BUT BECAUSE WE LET THEM.

Let us begin not to allow them to this to us. Let us stand together, rise, and say to them in their face: If you touch me, you will become even worse then you are now, but I won´t let you get away with your violence, so if you want to become an assassin go on, don´t stop, but I am making sure you will ruin your life by doing this. Go ahead coward, beat me if you will, but I will ruin your life, forever.

Come on! Try it out! You need to win their moral before you can beat them.

Sincerely,

Jackie

Annuarite, We turn away from

Annuarite,

We turn away from the brutality because we do not want to imagine such things and yet, we must know them and we must speak them and we must bring those responsible out of the protective darkness in which they carry out their horrors. You are a light. As long as there are brave women like you to tell the story, we have the hope of ending this torment.

Those who perpetrate these murders and tortures should be held up and be seen for what they are. Your voice has moved us one step closer to revealing and bringing justice to the women of your region.

Thank you for the courage you show with your words. You are very brave.

my heart is with you.
