I am a female educator. During my whole youth, I did not have the opportunity to pursue my studies because of the troubles my country has been through. My vision makes me want more but I'm in lack of means.

This story was written for World Pulse’s Ending Violence Against Women Digital Action Campaign.

World Pulse believes that women's stories, recommendations, and collective rising leadership can—and will—bring an end to gender-based violence. The EVAW Campaign elicits powerful content from women on the ground, strengthens their confidence as vocal grassroots leaders, and ensures that influencers and powerful institutions hear their stories.

Keep Going

Nyamwezi Sukuru,

Welcome to World Pulse, there are many ways to pursue education if you are patient and strong willed enough to

do it. You can even do it free online such as through PEOI which provides a free online education to everyone and it's

certified by UN. Good luck!

You're half way there!

Hi Nyamwezi,

Thanks for sharing this, it's great news that you feel the urge to learn more. But remember, the very fact that you've begun means that you're half way done - using online resources and websites like for free university material, or simply going over books at a library close by would be great jump-starts to learning in the field that you choose. I'd love to hear about your plans as they evolve!
