These are the hardest times to find the words we long to convey. But from my heart I can honestly say, that YOU are World Pulse to me. It is through you, the VOF class of 2012, that I discovered the Voice within me. Through you I grew in courage and inspiration with each assignment. It is through you that I learned to understand and then esteem the global family of my precious sisterhood. Through your heartfelt responses, I came to recognize that the fires being kindled in me, were already aflame in you, and that though tradition and culture and religion and society were trying desperately to quench these feeble sparks, that joining myself to you, I had become part of a global bonfire that is not only unquenchable, but a light for all the world to circle around.

I cannot represent you; you are too big. And that is where I can draw much courage. From now on, no matter where I am and what I’m doing, I am strengthened in the knowing that I am joined to YOU, and YOU to me. You are with me and I am with you. And now that we’re TOGETHER, I know we will change our world.
