Introducing myself and my journal: Mine as Yours
About Me:
Ironically, as much time as I spend writing, I find the 'about me' assignments the most difficult. Even finding where to start proves a challenge. Not a very auspicious start for a self empowering project is it? Can you tell that I'm stalling? I am currently in school for Social Work in Canada, and have been doing social service work for almost ten years in a variety of countries and capacities. Specifically, my work (which is really my love) has focused on women and finding our inner strength together through whatever project may employ me at the time :).
It is so easy to see how we are different- the world seems to send that message constantly making it difficult to connect. Thanks to World Pulse for recognizing the ways in which we are alike, and how we can share and grow.
My Passions:
laughing, learning and long walks on the beach :)
My Challenges:
writing about myself (clearly), self assurity
My Vision for the Future:
Honest, genuine, open communication
My Areas of Expertise:
social work, womens empowerment, addictions, mental health therapies
