Introducing myself and my journal: The Diary of A Global Citizen

About Me:
I am studying for a Bachelor of Law Degree (LLB) in Moi University Kenya and will graduate in 2015. I have special interest in Toxic Torts, Labour Law, Human Rights Law, Corporate Law, Business & Investment Law and International Law of each of the above branches.
My non-professional experience is vast and covers Youth Work, Children Rights, Environment and Climate Change, Conflict Resolution using an Inter faith Dialogue approach and Human Rights. I am a co-founder of AdGlobal Foundation where we sensitize the youth on lobbying for Child and Human Rights, Gender Equality, Poverty and Corruption Eradication, Disease Prevention and Control, Health and Sanitation, Youth Empowerment, Eradicating Drug Abuse, Environment Conservation and Talent Development.
I also serve in the Moi University Annex Campus 8th Student Governing Council as a Board member in the Moi University School of Law Editorial board, this is one of my latest task, and expected of me is to oversee the publication of The Moi University Law Newsletter and Review.
I have previously worked as the National Organizing Secretary and Deputy-President- Western Province Students’ Council (WPSC) at Kenya Secondary Schools Students’ Council (KSSSC) (www.ksssc.ac.ke ), where on behalf of all secondary students in Kenya, I later drafted a petition for “Learner Friendly Schools” to the government of Kenya which was presented to the UNICEF, UNESCO, Kenya’s Vice President and Minister for Home Affairs, Ministers for: Education, Sports & Youth Affairs, Gender, Children and Social Services; NGO Council of Kenya among other private and social stakeholders in the Education Sector.
I have participated in various National and International Moot Court Competitions and competed favorably by tabling exceptional research work.
I have also contributed to academic research; having, various Law Review Articles to my name in numerous national and International Law Journals and presenting my papers in various national and International Conferences.
I have been honored and awarded by the Mbegu Trust Education Trust (www.mbegutrust.org ) (November 2009) where I achieved to be among the 8 National winners of Ksh. 100,000 for our schools and Ksh. 20,000 for ourselves in an Essay writing competition on the subject of ‘The Leadership we need to build the Kenya and Africa we want.’ Along with the award, my winning essay was selected to be displayed on the Organization’s website. in October 2010 I was also awarded by Centre for Law and Research International (CLARION) (www.clarionkenya.org ) where i qualified among the best 5 National winners of Ksh. 10,000 voucher for purchase of books for our schools and Ksh. 5,000 for ourselves in an Essay Writing Competition.
As a hobby, I write non-professional issues through blogging and contributions to newspapers.
I am also passionate about Reading, Making Friends, Public Speaking, Debating, writing plays, poems and short stories in both English and Swahili and as a result I have written an anthology of Kiswahili poems which focus on society, life, youths and Africa- which is being considered for publication by a leading publishing firm. Some of the poems have featured at the Kenya National Music, Cultural and Drama Festivals for schools, colleges and Universities and are regularly published by "Taifa Leo" (a Kenyan Swahili newspaper).
I believe that success is best achieved through having impact on people and I volunteer in teen camps, vocational Bible School, Children Homes and with Street Children.
I am a book addict and I love making new friends and global networking.
