Tears and Voices of Afghan Women Poets
As a poet, photographer, and writer: I cannot think of peace in my Afghanistan without its women's emancipation for rebuilding the present and future. Alongside their other activities, I want them to nurture poetry in their daily lives. Poetry is knotted in our blood, and we want every Afghan to let the poems of their minds grown. The poems, which are intoxicated with the conjoined pain of joy and despair. .
This video brings the lives of several young Afghan women, who write and have their unique voices for having a possible vision for bringing about change in Afghanistan.
As this video [photo-slideshow], we have shown that there is always a room filled with candles, butterflies, and flowers hanging on the walls of Afghan women's minds. We just need to observe the essence of love in our hearts. In these photographs, as you can see, we have spoken to the walls and turned the darkness of the night into poetry itself. We truly blessed with Rumi's saying that, “Only from the heart you can touch the sky.”
The big thank you goes to my Afghan fellows for their cooperation.
Thank you so much you all as well.
