Story ideas? Equipment?
Hi everyone!
I hope you're doing well, can you believe it's already almost the end of March?! I wanted to check in with you now that you've had a couple of weeks to start thinking about your digital storytelling project.
Have you thought of some ideas you want to pursue? Have you started looking at equipment to use? Or, have you already started taking videos or photos for the project? I would love to hear where you're at in the process!
Whenever you have a chance to give us an update, please send a message or post your comments here.
In partnership,
Scott

Story ideas, equipments
Hi Scott,
I have story ideas and equipments but still lost on how to start. My story idea is on men dumping women-friends when the women get pregnant for them. These are mainly in relationships outside marriages. It is now a recurrent issue as my human rights organization battles with cases bothering on that. The latest case on hand is that the man (a naval officer) sent people to kidnap the new born baby, which sources said was thrown into the ocean by the naval officer-- in a bid to erase any trace of relationship between him and the lady.

The first step is half the battle!
Hi Celine,
What an interesting topic. All too often men do not step up and take responsibility in their role as fathers.
I think that it would be a good idea for you to send an email to our team of volunteers at vofvideo@gmail.com and ask for some help on getting started. They will have some good questions and advice for you to help focus, and gather your thoughts to tell this complex story in a short video. I look forward to seeing their responses and your work on this piece.
Best,
Scott

Hi Scott,, thank you so much
Hi Scott,, thank you so much for the message and your interest to know about our process.
humm, my digital story telling idea is about senior citizens who are left by their own family and living in older-home. My message would be to make people realize that not to left their parents when they get older, when they can not do for us, when they get sick. They are our foundation.
but yes, due to busy schedule I have not starrted yet.
cheers!

Hi Scott
Well mine is too tell the story of the unsung heroes(midwives and nurses) in the healthcare ,focusing on the women who stood by patients to serve them during the 2007 POST VIOLENCE ELECTION IN KENYA.Uptodate they do what they know best and still work for the patients.
