Introducing myself and my journal: Safari (swahili for "Long journey")

About Me:
I am a consultant, researcher and activist. As a consultant I have been working for various Non-Governmental and multi-national Organizations such as the United Nations High Commissioner for Regugees, IntraHealth, Human Rights Watch, The Danish Institute of Human Rights, Women's Equity into Access to Care and Treatment, the World Bank...on youth and gender issues, post conflict and ethnic issues.
As a researcher I have conducted and/or coordinated over a thousand individual and focus groups interviews in Rwanda and DR Congo, for various universities such as Harvard University, Yale University, Dalhousie University, University of Vienna, Rocksilde University,...
I am very happy to be part of the World Pulse community where I can learn a lot from other members. Thank you

My Passions:
Music, travelling, drawing, languages, football (Arsenal FC)...

My Challenges:
Fostering a culture of activism and engagement, particularly among the younger generation, is a crucial challenge. Young men and women need to work together if we want to achieve gender equality

My Vision for the Future:
I firlmly believe in a world where gender and sexuality are no longer a source of inequality or stigma, where women, and men have control over their own bodies and therefore their destinies.

My Areas of Expertise:
Youth issues, gender-based violence, human rights activism, girls and women empowerment, genocide related issues, oral history, linguistic, anthropology, social psychology...
