Introducing myself and my journal: My Purple Lily Journey

About Me:
My name is Ginette Collin and I'm currently a Performance Development Manager in Abu Dhabi. I'm leaving in 3 weeks to start my new adventure in Borneo. I'm very aware that I'm an incredibly blessed woman. I feel it is time for me to make a difference in the lives of women who need skills & support. I'm therefore starting a Non Profit Project called PurpleLily Project based in Kuching. PurpleLily has 2 components: Life Skills Training (financial literacy, goal setting, selt esteem, Women's Reproductive Health, ...) and Livelihood Program (select small groups of women from villages, provide technical training, funding and support for the women to start their own small business). This project is based on my skills, experience and passion to empower women. I'm determined to make a difference in the lives of some of the local women, maybe in a small way, maybe in a big way. We shall see but I will give it my all!

My Passions:
To inspire & empower women

My Challenges:
To find a "local champion" for the project, to get support on the ground, to be persisitent

My Vision for the Future:
To make a difference

My Areas of Expertise:
Performance Development Management, Training, Education, Small business Start up

Welcome!

Dear Ginette,
When you say that you are aware that you are blessed in itself is a powerful statement that recognizes your own empowerment. By saying this, you are asking women to look at themselves and see their own blessings and gifts.

warmly,
Katea
