Introducing myself and my journal: Essential Medicine and Nutrients for Rural Kenya

About Me:
I am the founder and director of TropicalClinics, a nonprofit organization in the USA and a non governement organization in Kenya. I am educated at Cornell and Columbia Universities in the USA. I am determined to see many children in rural Kenya live beyond their 5th birthday by rehabilitating them from extreme malnutrition and poor hygene; my team and I are working hard to rehabiltate HIV/AIDS patients to strong and productive members of the community by providing them with holistic care. We will not rest until mother and child are well taken care of during pregnancy and in childbirth. Most importantly, I am determined to reduce the rampant misery and death occuring in rural regions of Kenya and other parts of Africa because of lack of essential medicine and nutrients. Ours is a treatment center in rural Kenya with high quality medical equipment, essential medicines and trained and dedicated staff. I am passionate about empowering women and their families to participate in their own well being.

My Passions:
Empowering women and their families to health longevity

My Challenges:
Access to essential medicine and nutrients to accomplish my work

My Vision for the Future:
Creating medical and education centers in rural regions of Africa

My Areas of Expertise:
Clinical nutrition, public health, nutrition for healthy longevity

Essential Medicine for Rural Kenya

Dear Nusrat,
Thanks! You are doing wonderful work to give women a voice on PulseWire. I am pleased to be part of this movement.
I would like your advice. I tried to post an event and a need on world pulse but they were both rejected. I included this link on our online fundraising campaign with the posts http://tropical.chipin.com/essential-medicine-for-rural-kenya. What could I be doing wrong? Please advice!

Thanks my friend!
Margaret

Hello there.

Herllo Dr. Kilibwa,
I am happy to meet you. I am a nurse and an anthropologist and I teach Global Nursing online in a nursing masters program in New Jersey while I am living in Washington State. It is wonderful to have connections around the world. As you know, women here in the US are having our challenges these days. But nothing as serious as the women you care for. What kind of doctor are you? I'm just curious. Please let me know if there is any way i can do for you here in the US.
