She walks down the alley
Taunted on both sides
Amazing....though with trauma around her
Her purpose is fixed
It cannot be shaken
Looking ahead with a troubled heart
She focuses on reaching her goal
And recalls the power within her
A need to sacrifice for one so dear
She is willing to go through any form of pain and humiliation
Even till her last tear drop
Looking back now
With tears of joy
She considers her suffering worthless
For the price ahead of her was invaluable
Her daughter.....
The ultimate test of man's conscience may be his willingness to sacrifice something for future generations whose words of thanks will not be heard.
