Women Inspiration Development Center is moving higher

Women Inspiration development center is moving higher as we continue to fight the cause of women and girls in our community. The center participated in the last 16 DAYS OF ACTIVISM by visiting 10 secondary schools in Osun State, Nigeria on the campaign against VIOLENCE AGAINST WOMEN. It was a huge success as teachers and students were commending the WIDC team for their efforts to stop Gender Violence in the community. Shortly before the 16 Days of activism the center also organized another Empowerment Workshops with 45 women and girls in the community from various background.
This year the center is starting on a high gear by taking a step to have our own office for our activities so that we can start our vocational training and the Cybercafe for Women Only in earnest. Formerly we have been using the compound of a community leader for our activities. We are able to see a whole building of three rooms at 100,000 naira which is about $667 per annum. We are working vigorously to be able to gather money to acquire this office before another person snatch it from us. By the time we are able to acquire the office, we are going to organize a Lunching/ Fundraising in the community for the center.
Our target this year is to train at least 20 women and girls in Fabric Design and get them settled down to start their own business. We want to start the CYBERCAFE FOR WOMEN ONLY so that more women will have access to in the community. We want to also visit 6 villages for campaign against Violence Against Women. And we want to organize at least 6 Empowerment Workshops with 25 participants per workshop.
YES! WE ARE MOVING HIGHER AND THE SKY IS THE BEGINNING!!!!. Thanks to you all for your encouragement.
