The below campaign was run through petitionsonline india, but that time I did not know the ways of taking it aggressive online...But had taken it up with ASCI - Advertising Standards Council of India. I posted complaints on their pages, sent the printed, hand signed complaint, followed up by mail...but I did not get any reply....but later the advt stopped coming....after some time it reappeared....but now its not seen...on T.V channels, but still makes its round on youtube...

"Fair & Handsome advt humiliates a man for using "Feminine Products". It projects & propagates that 'feminine qualities' are inferior. They disseminate that men who have feminine qualities will not be respected by the society. It shows that women will fall for men who are "Manly" thus degrading the qualities of Women.
These 'Manly' concepts create stress & wrong ideologies in the minds of Men. The Portrayal of "Third Gender" in the movies etc contributes to be the important reason for humiliating trans-genders & the queer people.
Most of the 'Women' products are designed & marketed by the Male-Chauvinistic Capitalists. They are the one's who brand them as feminine products and brand feminine qualities. Following that another Capitalist degrade those 'Constructed Feminine Qualities' thus exploiting the minds of the innocent People.
Though this may not be the ideal tool for fighting, I think this could be a little Fire.
