It is really hard to be forgiving; but this is very necessary so that past pains and heartaches may be put to rest and the spirit of understanding will start to prevail among people who have undergone some differences. Human nature allows us to be angry at certain situations where those around us get our ire. But then, this feeling of anger also eats up our inner peace. Hence it is really better to start and learn the art of forgiving.

Thank you for the welcome

Thank you, Fatima, for the welcome thoughts.

I just came from a lecture presentation on our Philippine law against human trafficking. It saddens me to be sharing on the current situation regarding human trafficking in the Philippines. I just wish our Filipino women are empowered enough not to allow themselves to be subjected to any and all forms of exploitation and discrimination.

God bless us all.

Hello World...

Yesterday we celebrated the 27th birthday of my autistic/dyslexic child. It is heartwarming to know that my son, even if he is differently-abled, still can make other people smile and laugh at his antics. Although his autism has been managed and controlled, he still has difficulty in reading as he has dyslexia.

In the Philippines, especially in remote areas, where no special education institutions are located, caring for special children is a big, big challenge. I so wish that special children be given the necessary education and institutional support so that they will become mainstreamed into society and be of service to others.

Here's a toast to special children who manage to make a difference in the world!
