Checking in on contact with your correspondent!
Dear Mentors and Midwives,
I wanted to send a quick note to check in with you about contacting your correspondents. It is of the utmost importance that these relationships/communication is in place before starting the first module next week. If you have been unable to get in contact with your correspondent, please email me immediately. Thanks to all of you who have already notified me.
Kind regards,
Rachael

excellent contact...good bonds
Mentor, midwife and correspondent are getting to know each other with ease. We will have our first skype call next week, and it feels like good relationships are developing! Lucky us -- thank you Rachael, Scott, and Lydia.

Wonderful start
That is great to hear! Getting these connections started off smoothly is a crucial first step.
Also, FYI, our team volunteer this year is Emily, not Lydia. :)
Take good care!

I sent my Intro Letter two nights ago; haven't heard from Redsbird yet. Maybe wait another day or two?
Also looking forward to contact with Lisa Teberg; sent her a copy of the same Intro Letter.

Hello, Odessa:
I am lucky enough to be in my second year as midwife, and the first year it took a little more time for the communication to happen back and forth, due to restrictions in internet availability. Plus I was slow on the uptake because I was recovering from bone repair. I am sharing this because I know it is discouraging to adjust to the different pace of communicating when access to the internet is limited. And...all is well. (IMHO!)
I do trust that your patience will be well worth it, and your correspondent and vision mentor will recognize and respond to your enthusiasm and open heart to walking the journey together with them. It is the beginning of three (or four if you count the triad as one! ) meaningful relationships. I salute you, and the three of you.
May the curriculum and posts of others and yours fill the space until that begins. Best wishes,
Anna

Skype call planned
Mirette and I have our first Skype call planned for the coming week!

Getting started
Had a great conversation with my vision mentor partner a week or so ago. My correspondent just popped up on Skype, started the conversation here and on VOF message board, but haven't been able to connect long enough to firm up contact times or start brainstorming on a more regular basis. Hoping that will be resolved soon.

Update
Just had a lovely "live' conversation with Sahro. We still have ground to cover, but we've got a lot of time to catch up. Scratching my previous post.

Good contacts made
I've spoken with both Juliette, my correspondent, and Anjana, her mentor. Juliette is very strong in expressing her goals. She has chosen her profile subject and I'm awaiting a reply about her progress. She has been busy on a mission, and seems focused on completing her assignment as well.
